In 2011, Columbia’s first Mardi Gras krewe,
Krewe de Columbi-Ya-Ya, took to the streets of Rosewood on a walking parade full of music and beads. Afterward, the Krewe and friends had a huge Mardi Gras party at City Roots Urban Farm with food, drink and music!
In the true sense of Mardi Gras, we’d love to have more krewes join us in 2012 for an even bigger and better bash. Our goal is to make Columbia the biggest and best place outside of Louisiana to celebrate Mardi Gras.
You can join Krewe de Columbi-Ya-Ya or you can
start your own Krewe! We also
need volunteers -
